- In November 2008, Audrey deCoursey was interviewed by the Northwest Chicago suburbs’ Daily Herald newspaper for an article about the Peace Memorial Garden at Highland Avenue Church of the Brethren, where she recently began work as Associate Pastor. The article included information introducing her to the community as well as quotations from two other church members.
- In 2007, deCoursey was featured in a profile by the Beatitudes Society. She wrote about her path to ministry and ways the Beatitudes Society contributed to her learning in seminary.
- In November 2007, deCoursey was selected by the Plymouth Center as one of fifteen emerging leaders in the progressive Christian movement. She joined the other emerging leaders and fifteen experience leaders at a weekend retreat in Minnesota to share experiences and strategize for future movement-building.
- deCoursey also holds the title of Mrs. Portland Mercury 2003. The beauty pageant featured stiff competition from seven other contestants selected from citywide applications. Her talent was “Demystification of the Citric Acid Cycle,” through a lecture with charts and back-up dancers. After winning the crown, she was featured in an interview in the weekly newspaper.
